California Bill Tracking with LegInfo

This three-part video series walks you through how to effectively use California’s legislative tracking website - Leg Info - to find and research legislative measures. In Part One (16 minutes), you’ll learn how to search by bill number, author, keyword, or subject area, read bill text and amendments, review analyses, and find where a bill is in the legislative process so you can quickly understand what the measure does and why it matters.

Part Two (13 minutes) shows you how to create a free account, set up personalized alerts, and build custom tracking lists so you never miss a hearing, amendment, or bill status change. In Part Three (coming soon), we cover how to submit position letters and public comments through the website ensuring your voice — and your organization’s perspective — is part of the legislative record.
